Adam Levine Reacts to Mick Jagger Dancing to ‘Moves Like Jagger’

Adam Levine shares his reaction to seeing Mick Jagger dance to Maroon 5’s 2011 hit “Moves Like Jagger.”

The Maroon 5 frontman recently performed. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.where she said it was “really surreal” to see the video that Jagger posted on Instagram in March.

“It’s one of those things where you’re like, ‘Oh my, how is this possible? What’s going on? This is weird,'” Levin said.

In a social media video, the Rolling Stones’ lead singer appeared at a bar or restaurant when a band began playing a cover of “Moves Like Jagger,” prompting the legendary musician to belt out the lyrics. “Moves Like Who,” Jagger captioned the post, crediting the band Splash for performing his track.

“I’ve never wanted to be in a band more than at this moment in my life,” Levine told host Jimmy Fallon. “Awesome. Like the best thing.”

Former the sound The judge added that he was surprised that more people did not send him the video. “I think it was one of those, like, everybody thought everybody already sent me this thing. … My mom and, like, a friend of mine sent me the video,” Levin said. “I was surprised more people didn’t send me”

The “Memories” singer later revealed some details about the original “Moves Like Jagger” song, saying it was for a female artist to perform because the hook “got moves like Jagger.”

“I was just crazy enough to say, ‘What if I say. I Are there moves like Jagger?”” Levin explained. “And they’re like, ‘Do you really want to do this?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, why not? Go to hell.'”

The singer added that he feels the song was so successful – it was No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for four weeks after its release – because “it’s a confidence thing. It’s a cheeky thing. You know. Is it? He is [Jagger] Man.”
