Joe Biden’s Warning To Iran Amid Fears Of Attack On Israel

Joe Biden’s Warning To Iran Amid Fears Of Attack On Israel – As Israel braces for possible retaliation from Iran following an airstrike on its consulate in Syria two weeks ago, US President Joe Biden issued a stern warning to Iran and reiterated Israel’s support. Speaking to reporters on Friday, Biden warned Iran against attacking Israel, stressing America’s determination to stand by its ally.

Joe Biden emphasized his commitment to Israel’s defense, saying that the United States would support and assist Israel in its defense and expressed confidence that Iran would not succeed.

Several reports indicate that Iran has developed more than 100 cruise missiles and an equal number of drones for a possible attack on military sites inside Israel, as cited by US officials. The attack could involve both Iranian military forces and Iranian-backed proxies.

Israel braced for a possible attack by Iran or its proxies on Friday amid growing warnings of retaliation for last week’s attack on Iran’s embassy compound in Damascus. As a result of the attack, a senior commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard abroad and six other officers were killed.

India, France, Poland and Russia have warned their citizens against traveling to the region, which is already tense due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, which is now entering its seventh month. Germany also urged its citizens to leave Iran amid rising tensions.

Israel has not officially claimed responsibility for the April 1 airstrike. However, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said Israel “must and will be punished” for an action tantamount to an attack on Iranian soil.

Earlier, White House spokesman John Kirby acknowledged the alleged threat of an attack on Israel by Iran as real and credible, although he did not provide specifics regarding the timing. Kirby said that in response to Tehran’s threat, the US is assessing its military presence in the region and is closely monitoring the situation.
